Frequently asked questions
Why do Instagram carousels get more engagement?
Every swipe keeps viewers on your post longer, and Instagram's algorithm rewards that extra attention with wider reach. A sliced panorama also gives you a striking, full-profile-grid effect — each tile is another chance to hook someone scrolling past.
Is my image uploaded to your servers?
No. Your image is sliced entirely inside your browser using JavaScript. It never leaves your device. You can verify this in your browser's network panel — or simply disconnect from the internet after the page loads and keep slicing.
What size is each tile?
Each tile is a square: the tile size equals your image width divided by the number of tiles (rounded down), cropped vertically centered. For example, a 3,240 px wide image split into 3 gives three 1,080 px tiles — exactly Instagram's recommended square size. Post the tiles in numbered order so the panorama reads left to right.
What are the free plan limits?
The free version slices one image per run into up to 5 tiles, exported as PNG or JPEG. Carousel Splitter Pro ($29 one-time) unlocks up to 10 tiles per run, batch processing of multiple images, WebP export and custom overlap guides.
